Inspiring Female Entrepreneurs

I probably wouldn’t do anything differently if I had to do it again. Every little thing that happens to you, good and bad, becomes a little piece of the puzzle of who you become. Every successful person you read about – Warren Buffett, Bill Gates – they all say pretty much the same thing. ‘Do what you love.’ I know I did.  -David Foster

Take the time to figure out what you love to do, it’s not an easy task but one that is worth your time and expense. – Di Downie

You can feel it in the air when you meet someone.

You can see it in their eyes.

You hear it in the words they use.

This grandmother gently comes close to me.

With her eyes looking into mine, with her native tongue, she speaks to her granddaughter who is obviously embarrassed that her grandmother is literally in my face.

The granddaughter politely takes a step towards me “my grandmother wants to ask you why are you happy from the inside”

“My grandmother is saying that when people get older they loose their inner shine”

“My grandmother wants you to tell me your secret, she is always encouraging me”

The grand daughter is now so embarrassed she could slip through one of the cracks in the tiled floor.

I say, now attempting to assure the grand daughter and simply loving this grandmother with my eyes as I have not said a thing to this point. ” Find what it is that you love to do and do it for a living”.

Once translated the Grandmother has tears in her eyes.

I nod my head, knowing why she is crying.

They are whispering together in a language I wish I knew.

“Thankyou”

The grandmother grabs me and gives me the biggest hug.

Yes when someone is on purpose, living their passions, all our senses want more of them.

I was a female inspirational speaker in Bahrain, for Bahrain Credit.  Fortunately I met  Wafa Al Obaidat, one of Bahrain’s most influential women.  This young woman is enjoying her journey. Wafa  knows she is growing from her journey and loves to share her jouney with others. http://obaiandhill.com is one of Ms Al Obaidats accomplishments go and visit her website and enjoy a young women on purpose.

So the question is how do you get to love what you do and is it really possible?

Or is this “love what you do stuff” airy fairy new age waffle?

From my experience it is not new age waffle and  these statistics back my experience up:

Excerpt from the website: http://about.americanexpress.com/news/pr/2017/state-of-women-owned-businesses-2017-report.aspx

Number of Women-Owned Businesses Growing 2.5 Times Faster Than National AverageThe Seventh Annual State of Women-Owned Businesses Report, Commissioned by American Express OPEN Finds There are 114% More Women-Owned Businesses in the U.S. Than 20 Years Ago.  Of course these are American Statistics.  When I find Stable Australian stats I’ll add them here.

Number of Firms Owned by Women of Color Has Grown by 467% Over the Past 20 Years

Of course business ownership is not the only way women will demonstrate what it is they love to do.  It is one visible indicator. Inspiring Female Entrepreneurs will only grow as women discover business ideas that they are passionate about.

There are still many women struggling with finding people who can and then will unconditionally support them. All too often women go behind other womens back with judgements, self interest and sometimes nothing less than acts of pure vindictiveness. Of course these acts are all driven by the paradox of low self – esteem and fear of being real….

MY TIP:  Find people who will unconditionally support.

If you are truly serious about being independent,  self empowered, and self – fulfilled, figure out what it is that you really want to do when you grow up.

MY TIP: Experiment to discover 4 Passions.  Yes 4 Passions. Research global trends ( note: Your kids are not your passion, your kids are on loan to you for you to allow them to develop and be able to direct themselves in their own lives.)

Tell me what it is that inspires you as a female entrepreneur?
