“Take time away from everyday life to create your visions”

-Di Downie

I’m sure you have typed with tears!

This year it has been a year for me to type with tears.

As I said in many of my emails in the past few weeks, many of us have had a year of deeper realizations through pain and joy.

This week I made the decision to have our 14 year old dalmation put to sleep. He was well but was struggling to get up at times as his back legs were failing him.

My vision for him was to have a peaceful painless passing, we can do that for our animals, so I choose a day and  a time. Our family came together, we peacefully said goodbye to our faithful friend Joops.

My life went on hold for a another small while as I grieved my Dalmation who I loved and took extra care especially in the past few weeks with the decision that had to be made, planned and carried out.

Taking time out to feel, appreciate what we had created, to stop thinking and to simply be aware of what is really happening to me is not easy for me, nor is it easy for most of us in this chaotic busy era. An era where what we see is what is important.

Taking time out to see and feel our visions in pictures, to feel what those visions could be to live in is time well spent.

Joops was a big part of our life, a big part of my combined visions.

A vision is an idea or a dream of what you see your future as. Be it a picture of who you want to be, where you want to be and with whom, a vision will  be your inspiration, your tool for self- empowerment, your motivation to build a well lived, fun life. We often have many ideas every single day.  Check what ideas are growing globally here in this blog post.

Visions give structure to life and as they are a product of design thinking, there are endless possibilities as to where your mind takes you based on your experiences, memories and environment. Often it results in conflict, especially for women who have to take care of themselves as well as their partner, family and businesses. It is not an easy feat to be able to distinguish our desires and have a clear vision to approach and I would like to guide you through this process. I believe that that there are three types of visions – Personal, Relationship and Business.

A Personal Vision is a manifestation of the thoughts at the back of your mind. The aspirations, dreams and goals that you envision for yourself are your own personal vision. Self-awareness is a very essential concept to pave our way to a healthy relationship with ourselves and one that is not easy, not spoken about and certainly not taught in schools or universities. However, maintaining a joyful relationship with those around is is equally integral and it comes as a part of our Relationship Vision. Sit down with your partner, your family and talk with them about what they want and what they need, ask yourself what is it that you need. Ask them how they want to go about achieving your mutual intentions. Effective communication will be beneficial for both you and your partner.

Another imperative aspect of life is our work/Business Vision. Channelling what you want to contribute to this planet is an excellent way to achieve a sense of clarity in this area. Ideating to solve problems and designing a path that benefits the business as well as the world could be your intention. Self- empowerment rather than being motivated from the outside of you is one big task to take on. You can read 6 tips to self-empowerment here. Trying to juggle these visions can be quite tricky but once you have a clear image of your dreams and passion, you are self-empowering yourself, you will be miles ahead of the rest of the world.

How To Have Clarity On Your Vision | Di Downie

Developing our visions takes time, energy, clarity of self -thinking, experimenting

It can be challenging to be challenged by other people, our physical body, financial challenges.

Humans can be difficult!

I have felt isolated, like many of us, experiences like taking time to feel the grieve of my Furry Baby passing  is a good excuse to give myself precious time to myself to strengthen my visions.

It does not matter if you are fourteen or forty or ninety nine, developing a vision is for your own happiness, peace of mind and self fulfillness.

Remember to take care of yourself with your food and your exercise routines.

Take time to experiment with the what you think are the right choices in your vision.

Remember to set your priorities and keep on track. The danger of conflict among your visions will help you prioritize work but always try to make decisions based on what your values are. Living through your values is what facilitates happiness and self -care.

Sending you love and big hugs.
