Why would I write a blog on gardening and growing basic herbs and vegetables to sustain and build energy when I teach entrepreneurial skills and operate an events company?

I have proven, producing your own vegetables is a straightforward solution for various wellbeing, natural, and economic issues.

Whether you are growing a solitary tomato plant or have a large patio garden, it is advantageous to your health, spirit and general wellbeing.

Growing the basics of our diet and the pure act of gardening helps me to improve cardiovascular health and invulnerable system, decline stress, improve adaptability and body quality.

Dollars spent on seeds, plants, and supplies all year round, you will deliver vegetables and herbs that will yield pounds of produce all year round in most countries on our amazing planet.

Growing your own food has numerous advantages:

  • It encourages you eat fresh vegetables from good soil.
  • You choose what sorts of fertilizers and pesticides interact with your food.
  • It lets you control when to reap your food. Vegetables and herbs are often picked too early for us to obtain their full nutritional value for us to absorb.
  • Growing your own basic greens gives you flexibility as to when you shop without relying on market supplies and imported goods.
  • You can build your routines with food as I have written here

“Google what are the best herbs and vegetables for where you live.”

“I grow mints, a varieties of mints, basil, coriander.  I always grow a few varieties of spinach, lettuce, spring onions, chives”. I talk further about food and planning good food here.

“ You don’t have to be a magician to grow some basic vegetables and herbs to sustain and build your energy”.

“It requires some investment, yet things like tomatoes, lettuce, you maybe able to grow peppers and chillies.  Occassionally I grow these also.  Truly, anybody, with some effort and inspiration can put good soil into a pot, plant seedlings and care for the basic greenery for the human diet.

You will be amazed by how much fun cultivating can be, and the pride you take in sharing sound food sustained independently.  For example being able to make your pesto from your own garden is like magic.

Apart from the nutritional value we gain from the physical act of attending to a garden or even a small patio plot, you can practise being quiet with yourself, getting soil under your finger nails, even going as far as being one with the soil if you are that way inclined. After a short time, you’ll receive the rewards, externally and internally for your business activities and your personal health.

I recommend to start small:

If you choose to grow some vegetable greens in the ground, start small. choose a spinach variety.  Choose a good organic manure and soil mixture, keep the spinach well weeded, well watered, but not soaking.  If you have a problem with pests, feed the spinach with more manure every alternate week.

If you choose to grow herbs simply go to your nursery and buy one or two herbs such as a mint plant and a basil plant, both are hardy plants. Both love the sun and both need watering everyday.  If you work long hours put a tray under the pot, fill the tray with water so the plants have water for the whole week. Make sure the plant gets at least 5 or 6 hours of sun everyday.  This simple act will give you confidence to start to care for plants that you can eat.  It will give you the opportunity to experiment with using both mint and basil to top your salads.

In summary:

  • Start small, choose one of two varieties in pots to care for.
  • Google varieties that grow well in your area.
  • If you choose to grow some greens in the ground, again, start small.
  • And don’t give up, experiment over a year with small pots in different places on your patio or in your garden.
  • Enjoy the fruits of your labour to sustain and build your energy.

Tell me if you have a vegetable garden or if have a small plot on your patio.  What do you grow what are your benefits of growing your own basic foods.

Sending you love and big hugs.
