Do you know female-owned companies have spiked by nearly 3,000% since 2008? This data was provided by the American Express’s 2018 State of Women-Owned Businesses Report. With females making up a whopping 40% of entrepreneurs, it is a no brainer to announce a change of tradition since more women are turning to entrepreneurship than ever before. But why are so many women are starting their own businesses? There is a wealth of reasons that leverage women to take the entrepreneurial route rather than using their valuable energy in a male orientated corporate environment. The women of today are motivated by the freedom & flexibility that can accompany entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship doesn’t require one to be a genius, however it does require cultivating self-discipline with routines and rituals, and staying focused to succeed on the global front. Here are six tips to become a global woman entrepreneur.

6 steps to go global for a woman entrepreneur

1. Offer a Global Solution

You need to deliver a global solution to address a worldwide problem, because only then will you be sustainable as a global female entrepreneur.

2. Your Global Solution must be able to speak to varying cultures.

People from varying cultures will be able to take your skills and use them when you are able to connect with them with simple universal language, pictures and your personal stories.

3. Surround yourself with people who know more than you do

And…… put your ego aside.
Listen!!!!!!!!!
Really Listen!!!!!!
Without Judgment!!!!!

4. Who are you accountable to?

BE accountable to someone.
That someone maybe your mentor or mentors, and it maybe someone who you can tell what you wanted to achieve in a certain time and you know that person will show up and ask you clearly if you have done what you said you wanted to do.
The distinction for me is, my accountability partner has no other agenda other than unconditionally supporting me, turning up and repeating back to me what I said I wanted to achieve.

5. Sustain yourself

What are the routines and rituals that you have in place that sustain you as a person, with your history, with your personality, with your interests, with your values, with your strengths, with your dreams?
You are your business, your personal rituals support your business activities.

6. Find a Mentor

Do you know 75% of the successful people have a mentor who acts as a guiding light in their journey to success? Look for someone who gives you the freedom to trust your intuition, and who is where you want to be or has been where you want to be.
Who will be empathic not sympathetic.

Final Words

Keep moving forward, keep self-faith and go ahead with your dreams. You can also check out my previous post on “How to Empower Yourself as a Woman Entrepreneur.”
