Love what you do then you can do what you love

“A Woman with a voice is by definition, a strong woman,” Melinda Gates

“Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness,” Oprah Winfrey

“The thing women have yet to learn is nobody gives you power. You just take it,” Roseanne Barr

Amidst the global woman movements such as the #MeToo, it’s time we realized the importance to empower oneself for a better world. Self-empowerment is not an overnight venture; it calls for our true dedication and passion to become a successful woman entrepreneur. There are so many ways for empowering yourself, but there is no substitute for traveling and how it evolves self as a businesswoman. Exploring the world is integral in one’s overall development, right from understanding new cultures to learning the art of communicating with people to self- acceptance of oneself.

Today, we’ve rounded up 6 things as the stepping stones to empower yourself as a woman entrepreneur.

This is a quick summary video for you;

1. Good Food, Drink and Move Your Body More

Educate yourself as to what is good food.  Over the decades our food has changed significantly, how it has been produced when it is picked, how it is modified, how far it travels.

Learn what fermented food is.  Study such modalities as Arevyda, Yoga, Breathing, meditation modalities…..  Keep learning and studying that fantasy to another level, don’t get stuck on one modality expand your knowledge for you as the unique person you are.

When I travel, read more about travelling here, I make sure I eat plenty of onions, garlic, ginger, fresh herbs, and fresh fruit if possible.  I carry my own supplements that work for me.

Always stay hydrated, don’t over drink to become bloated, always carry water with you and a small snack of nuts or seeds such as pepita seeds, sunflower seeds.  Never allow yourself to become hungry.

There is so much information online nowadays on how to eat, drink and move daily for personal health and clarity of mind when at home, at the office, on the road.  I trust these above give you a start broad outline.  I believe the key is self-education and experimenting for yourself

2. Take notice of how you think

Study the art of meditation.  There are many ways to quieten the mind to encourage intuitional and spiritual connection.

Give yourself the choice as to how you action your thoughts, many of us are driven from our thoughts and feelings that come from our parents, media, education or even some guru.

To practice self-awareness through meditation every day, twice a day is a gift to oneself and the people around us.

Accept the differences between Men and Women we are Different yet the Same

To develop an equal relationship takes some understanding of how both men and women solve problems, process information internally and output their processed thoughts and feelings.

There is no right and wrong there is what is and for me, that has been a difficult concept to live with.  Yes, we can all talk about this concept and pay lip service to it, to live with it and accept it can be a challenge at times.

Be patient, visit your personal visions every single day, surround yourself with people who can hear you and accept you for who you are just two activities that will help us accept our gender differences.

3. Do what you love to do

We often are told to do what we love to do from analyzing what skills we already have from the assumption that the skills we have based on what we love.

We were all born with special attributes that are often hidden under societies and families expectations.

When you are feeling dissatisfied with your daily work ask yourself “how could I do what I do in a way that is natural to me and by using my natural attributes”.  Its often not what we do its how we do it that we begin to recognize as intolerable.

4. Stay Focused

There are many distractions nowadays with the various social media platforms, global opportunities, never-ending changes, self-expectations the list continues.

To have personal rituals and routines enabling yourself to have clear visions will assist you to stay focused.

Women have a tendency to want to care for others first, put others first, take care of logistics first, before thinking and acting from what they personally need to assist with their personal focus.

Women could do well to learn some selfish skills to learn how to develop a voice from their authentic spiritual self.

5. Be Who You Are

Don’t let others have a big influence on your mindset, have the freedom and the confidence to try new things and take calculated risks to accomplish bigger goals in life.

I have always told our girls “if it comes out of someone else’s mouth, it belongs to them”. An addition to that piece of advice: we can always learn from what comes from other people but we do not need to give them permission to make us feel in any way less than.

You can allow others to spill over their insecurities over you BUT  NEVERNEVERNEVER let them take your power away from who you are.

6. We Plan and Then Stray Away from It

When we have formulated on a plan, an objective or simply a vision, we have been taught to set goals to stay focused monitor our progress put the thought in our minds that we will go on a path that has a straight line we have dates and times in our minds we have an assumption that we will keep moving forward.  I describe in my book A High Heels Paradox that our life is never a straight line.

Make allowances for challenges, situations that will change our lives, challenges that will change our values and perception.  Read my book to get more insight on this point.

  1. It’s good to know from this article that I can practice self-awareness and empower myself as a woman just by doing meditation frequently. Still, not every woman might be able to do this and might need help from other people. It might be a good idea to look more into the Fondo Semillas project and see how I can contribute to women empowerment.

    1. Hello Zoe,

As you say Meditation is not the one stop place for self awareness, however it can play a huge part to developing and building our self esteem and our self awareness for further confidence and personal wellness
