The following 7 Global Business Trends have come from my research and my observation from travelling the globe again this past year.  I trust you have your own opinions to all of the trends I have below! These trends are not based on numbers they are mostly based on what I hear, read and  see.

Lets look at 7 Global Business Trends for women to look for in 2019 to take advantage of their time and creativity.

Take advantage of these trends where and when you can.

If you are looking for business ideas I have  81 of them here and another 18 here from 2018.

Observe these trends while you are running your business or settling on a business idea. Make your own judgement then make decisions based on your values and what you need for your customers, family and for yourself!

Marketing  Trends:

The value, that we as business owners give to our customers, will need to be more than ever before. We will need to be super clear as to who we are speaking to, why we are speaking to them. We need to be delivering concise chunked down information for them to hear us amongst the huge amount of marketing that will continue to grow. Women entrepreneurs are savvy now and will simply click away being driven by intuition.

Using smart automated email marketing tools that gives the receiver a feeling that you are speaking directly to them will be more important than it has ever been. Be aware though, people are educated now, people don’t like to be bombarded with bots and automated messages, texts and emails.

Keep abreast of the new technologies to choose what you need to learn in regards to research software to target the needs of your customers so you can deliver what they need.

Although Facebook was originally designed for people to be globally social.  More “personalised” marketing will be done through facebook, Instagram, Twitter, the three main players. Be aware these top players could change any day! As a business owner you will have to have the ability to engage your customers with interactive groups and solved problems in your advertising that will be more expensive than it is now with more small businesses jumping on the advertising wagon. Simply posting photos will not cut the mustard any longer. You must get over what you think of how you hear yourself on video and how you see yourself.  People will want to get to know you through all their senses.

Collaboration is happening more:

Companies are collaborating so they can offer varied services to their customers like never before with the technology we now have. Uber is the example I think of, with them offering varying types of transport and food delivery.  The phase that I have heard is “how can we be a part of the Sharing Economy”? This makes sense to me as we now live in a global village, we can collaborate with people with similar values and similar thinking with products and services that compliment our own easier than ever before.  We are seeing young people with technical skills collaborate with older people with experience.  Look for your global people!

My tip is: DON’T go into partnership, however set up joint ventures on projects.

Money Trends:

People are looking for ways to get more for their buck.  This is influencing how people are using their smart phones to bank and to keep a closer eye on their money and other avenues of income they are engaging in. The majority of money is spent by women. Keep this in mind when you want your voice to be heard through social media. Make sure your website, landing pages can be easily used on mobile devices. Look at avenues for your customers to make money off your product and service.

Security Needs:

With the rising fear of cyber fraud and terrorism, people are looking for ways to keep themselves and their family safe. More and more people will invest in cloud storage and apps for reporting suspicious acts. You will see more people offering security services.  This boom will be the same as other booms. There will be the people who can deliver their service and their will be people who cannot.

Gender conversations

With more and more women becoming role models for other women and men, the more these gender conversations will continue. More Associations, not for profit organizations will pop up to have their gender opinions heard.  More artists will write songs and direct movies to share their gender opinions.

Keep an open mind to remember the trend in progress to not get caught up in the sheep mentality.

Create your conversations from your values and from what you intent to change, have changed and how you could improve that change. Ensure you can meet the needs and solve the problems you are here to creatively solve.

The Work Place Space Trend

The last and not the least trend from the more business angle that I see and my research shows for 2019 is the way people globally will use their time and space to work. Many small business owners will need to adapt their attitudes and plan to set up trust with their employees and suppliers to give them what they need, not simply what you offer, done in a way of personal service rather from the latest marketing language.

More and more people will want to try their hand at their own business while having a 9 to 5 schedule to increase earnings whilst striving to do what they love.  This will distract employees more than they have been with the desire to spend more time with family along with the social media comparison environment we live in now.

Business owners will do well to give variation to employees with self development education for further open communication and authentic creativity .

The online “gurus”  will continue to grow with copy cats with the latest marketing language and tools.

Office furniture will be more suitable to stand and move around to accomodate the longer hours of fingers on the keyboards.

Two trends I see not directly related to business however influence daily business activities greatly:

Competition &  Co-operation around the dinner table

The Family Conversations

The term “dog eat dog” is often used in  the media with the subject of business.  The scarcity thinking along with the tall poppy syndrome are two attitudes that could certainly do with some mindful education to bring about long term change from competition to co-operation. The family home would be a good place, in my opinion, to begin the conversations on manners, respect, values along with ethics that would contribute to the global attitude and economy. With all the helicopter parenting that happened this past 20 years built on our world of competition and comparing I see more and more parents exposing their children to nature, travel and more “what is needed for this child” rather than the text book parenting that has been driven by TV and Social Media.

FOOD & FASHION

Globalization has changed what food we eat , how we eat it and when we eat it.  All of us can be expert Foodologists now with You Tube Training, the many training schools we can all engage in.  We all self diagnose, we all google the latest organic spinach soup or low fat souffle. We all shop online for the best buys to cover our bodies.  The “anything goes” Trend will continue, in my opinion. You will be able to wear what you like when you like it and eat what you like and when you like it with a quick click. We will all have more opinions of what is in fashion and what we should be eating and how we should be seen and what the best weight is at what age. This has caused much confusion for people who have a real health condition and want real business results.  Maybe this is why the coaching business has boomed, to give people more understanding and acceptance of themselves.
