How to Incorporate Wellbeing in a Busy Schedule

“Success and failure are largely the results of our habitual thoughts & many people create by default. — Marie Cunningham”

Our routines, rituals and traditions come down to our willingness our ability to be creative to have agreements with ourselves to facilitate a productive, energised and fullfilling life.

This blog is sharing with my Quadrant for Wellbeing.

We all know energy is everything, we hear it in many places through many modalities and avenues of thought.

Firstly it is important that I give you the foundation of the quadrant for further direction on how to formulate your own Wellness Routines and Rituals.

Firstly humans thrive on Routines and Rituals, these routines and rituals are based on our energy not on what we do at certain times of the day or night. Remember we are human beings, not human doings!   This may seem obvious and simple and this misunderstanding is the reason why many humans do not achieve their desired intentions personally or financially.

In a blog I can only give you the skeleton of the foundation, if you want to work further to build your intentions, ideas out to profit and passion realizations make an appointment with me personally.

Ask yourself what is important to you in the areas of:

Environment

Financial

Relationships

The four parts of my quadrant are

Daily

Weekly

Monthly

Yearly

Daily

In the video, in this post, I chose the area of Relationship to give you some examples.

The relationship with our self is the most important relationship we have in my opinion.  That could be seen as a selfish perception. From my experience when I’m not well, healthy and consistently clear in my thinking I am of no use to anyone.  I could fool myself and it is myself that I’m fooling as other people can see when I’m not clear, not on top of my game in areas of my life.  We are all very intuitive, it’s a simple fact, some of us have more effective routines and rituals than others and that maybe for many reasons. Here is a post I did some time ago specifically about routines and rituals.

Anyway let me get back on track for what was to be a short and concise blog post.

When we are relating to ourselves for the betterment of ourselves and others: Are we planning our food for the day? Are we planning on the amount of good water we will be drinking in our day as well as the amount of sleep that we will be having.  Most of us roll with the day, time goes fast, we become distracted, we procrastinate and unless we have routines that keep us on track for the best that we can be whilst having fun our personal wellness can have a negative impact on our work, our business, our relationships with other people, our finances, our environment.

In the video I give examples of food and skin care routines. Simple stuff adds up to big stuff.  You have heard this before from many people, I’m sure!

Weekly is my second part of the quadrant that I keep in my mind and orientate myself around.

Ask yourself do you take care of your Environment in a ritualist way that suits your energy, your family needs, your financial needs. One example could be that you have an area in your home, if you are small business owner, or want to have your own business, where you can sit quietly and create content, sort and sift your ideas and concepts. To build on the example could be to set up that environment so you enjoy to spend time in it.  I have three areas in my home where I can work quietly and effectively with one area that has everything in it from pens, paper, source documents, power, technology etc.

Financial

Building out the area of Relationships you could be planning your weekly food and the time you spend with your loved ones for quality time rather than squeezing this valuable time into logistics, high energy activities, financial commitments or even time that you wished you were having to yourself. I wrote this blog about growing for Pesto making.

Planning is a big part of the Monthly thinking process.

One example under your Financial area could be your routines that you have to do to report to the tax department in your country.  You might manage people who do these tasks for you, however in business monthly KPI’s could still be valuable to you for your business growth and direction.

Building on the daily and weekly Routines for the relationship with our self is quite different when we think of food. What is going to grow in the garden at certain times of the year to be ready to eat at other parts of the year, the different types of activities that need to be done in our garden for us to be eating from our garden.

These routines blend into our Environment with our garden being tidy, re-invented, pruned as the seasons change.  Even if you live in the tropics and you grow some of your food this is applicable to you if you want to be eating as fresh as possible with knowledge of how your food is grown.

Yearly is when I think more on the level of traditions. I ask myself what memories do I want to be creating for myself, my family, my friends. Again planning being the key to holidays, experiences for birthdays, anniversaries special occasions or ad hoc events.  New skills that I think I might want to learn or skills that I need to build on. I think about time that I want to carve out from the smaller routines and rituals carried out monthly, weekly and daily.

What are you taking away from this blog post? Tell me in the comments!

I usually make space in my calendar to chat with you to discover if you are ready and willing to take the next step to design your skills, build on your attributes, enhance what you already have in place to continue or change your direction for a self- empowered financially independent every day. Make your time here.

Sending you love and big hugs,

Di
